Learn to photograph landscapes, wildlife and nature
in Somerset with Ben Hall who has a desire to
communicate, educate and inspire people in respect
to capturing the natural world. All abilities welcome.
Visit stunning locations such as Cheddar Gorge,
Burrington Common which is on the top of the
Mendips and Shapwick with Glastonbury Tor in the
background.

When visiting these places there will be a great
diversity of landscapes to photograph from dramatic
gorges, panoramic views and wetland areas.
Also, these places are inhabited by Deer, Goats,
Peregrine Falcons, Water Voles, Wildfowl and Birds of
Prey and there maybe opportunities to get a shot of
these and other animals in addition to the beautiful
environments in which they live.

Shapwick boasts a wide variety of habitats, birds and
mammals. There are many wetland areas, lakes, rivers,
wet woodlands, reed beds, fens and meadows in which
otters, water voles, wildflowers, orchids, dragonflies,
bitterns, lapwings, snipe, curlew, owls and many birds
of prey including kestrels, buzzards and hobbies
flourish in these wildlife rich environments. There are
plenty of hides in various spots as well as boardwalks
with protected areas to get you closer to the animals.

This course is designed for the
photographer who is passionate about
nature and wants to photograph
landscapes and potentially capture that
chance moment in time where wildlife
surprises us.
Learn basic skills, digital techniques and
advanced techniques and benefit from
critique sessions.
