On all our painting holidays we will look after our guests extremely well and the organisers are on location with the group in order to deal with the day-to-day practicalities of the holiday allowing the tutor to concentrate on teaching. "This is what Leisure Painter magazine said about us in their September 2008 edition"
Art Materials Live Exhibition

We have a stand at the Art Materials Live Exhibition at the NEC (3rd-6th November 2011) again where we are promoting our holidays. Why not come along and see us as we have artists demonstrating, as follows:

  • Thursday 3rd Nov - David Webb (PM)

  • Friday 4th Nov - Rob (AM) & Sian (PM) Dudley

  • Saturday 5th Nov - Peter Woolley (AM) & Roy Lang (PM)

We will have some artists' work on display who tutor for us including a selection of original paintings, demonstration work, their DVDs, books and magazine articles from Leisure Painter, Paint Magazine and others. Many artists such as Charles Evans, Jeremy Ford, Terry Harrison and Matthew Palmer are also demonstrating on other stands at the show and will pop along when they have a spare moment in between working on their own stands.

This is our fourth year now and has proved very worthwhile every time. Why not come along and see one of the above demonstrations.

In previous years...

Joe Francis Dowden was demonstrating his techniques of capturing water and light in watercolours. (See the pictures he painted on the left of this page) He had a number of his sketches on display and a number of people were asking him questions.

On Saturday Becky Samuelson demonstrated pen & wash of a picture of Lion Rock, Cheddar Gorge and was talking to people as she painted.

We had Steve Hall producing a couple of demonstrations and about half a dozen of those that came on his holiday met up to watch him demonstrate and catch up with each other since the holiday and had a laugh!

Joanne Thomas did a couple of demos in between times showing how to paint buildings in the landscape and was answering questions as she painted. (See the pictures she painted on the right of this page).
