Rock House Hotel is an 18th century picturesque Hotel uniquely positioned at the harbour entrance with stunning views out to sea, up the coast, across the harbour and up the Lyn Valley. Lynmouth is one of North Devon’s most beautiful villages and was named “Little Switzerland” by the Victorians.

The Hotel is in a prime spot for painting and it’s standards are high but it still retains its character in the cosy bar and restaurant. The rooms are decorated to an extremely high standard and all have en-suite facilities.

Some rooms have four poster beds. Doubles and twins are available as well as a ground floor room for easy access. All rooms have superb views.

By Car

The hotel is off the A39 which runs from Bridgwater to Barnstaple. As you come into Lynmouth from Countisbury turn right before the bridge over the river Lyn. If coming from Barnstaple turn left after the bridge as you leave Lynmouth and before you go up the hill. If arriving by motorway the easiest junction to exit from is J23 if coming from the north and J25 if coming from the south on the M5 and head west on the A39 or A358.

Train or Bus Station

If coming by bus or train the nearest station is Barnstaple which is 20 miles away and a bus runs from there to Lynmouth every day except Sundays

Airport

The nearest airports are Exeter or Bristol which are in excess of 50 miles away, so it is advisable to arrange your own transport if coming by plane.
