His typical English countryside paintings with trees, hedges, fences, gates and walls are of particular inspiration and he will teach you how to paint these elements in the Mendips. All abilities welcome. The course caters for watercolours, oils, acrylics and gouache as well as sketching and drawing.

He will teach you how to get stunning results with simple yet clever techniques. Whether you have never painted flowers before or want to improve on your flower painting Jeremy will give you expert guidance and tuition.

Jeremy is a versatile painter with over thirty years experience and he will help you to learn and enjoy painting in a friendly and informal atmosphere. He will spend lots of time with each student giving plenty of encouragement and patiently explaining various tips and techniques. With his wealth of experience he is the ideal tutor for the first-time painter as well as the advanced painter adapting his one-to-one teaching to your individual needs and the medium that you are using. Each course will be tailored to the needs of the group and he will deal with any problem areas and give plenty of demonstrations to assist in the learning process.

Landscape painters are welcome to join the flower painting course to complete paintings of locations visited earlier in the week in the studio later in the week. Jeremy’s demonstrations will be of flower painting but his one-to-one tuition will be tailored to the individuals needs. This is an excellent opportunity to have a mix of location based painting and studio painting or simply do 3 days landscape painting and 2 days flower painting.
