Tony has over thirty years experience in painting. All abilities welcome. There are many stunning locations near to the hotel including The Valley of The Rocks, Watersmeet, and the harbour town of Lynmouth which has painting opportunities at every turn. 

Tony is able to pass on not only the basics of painting but his own tips and techniques, in a way that gives confidence to beginners, and inspires those with some experience, to make a good painting great. Whatever your ability Tony will be able to help you improve and in this beautiful setting you will be inspired to do so. 

When not demonstrating he will spend all his time assisting people on a one-to-one basis according to their level of ability. He will give guidance on producing a painting from simplifying a picture and producing a good composition to the intricate details of a focal point and angles on boats and buildings and shadows with the all important direction of light.

We intend to paint Tintern Abbey, the River Wye and surround-ing countryside plus areas around Monmouth including castles, bridges, water, reflections, trees and farm buildings.

(*) Single Occupancy is where one person occupies a twin or double room.

Arrival time is from 2pm and the course introduction is at 6pm on the arrival date. The course finishes at 4pm on the departure date.

The deposit is £175 per person (or £100 for non-residential guests).
