Paint in the stunning Cheddar Gorge and beautiful Mendip Hills with

Sanders, who is local to the West Country, where you will learn how to paint
dramatic paintings of gorges, cliffs and marine landscapes in oils and acrylics. All abilities welcome.
The holiday takes place at The Penscot Inn
in Shipham which is a little village on the edge of the Mendip Hills and has a typical Somerset village green opposite, thus providing plenty to inspire you to paint. The hotel is full of character and traditional charming features.

Learn to paint wildlife or pet portraits with Anna
Kirrage who has many years experience in pastels and is a self taught
artist and specialises in wildlife and pet portraits. All abilities welcome.
You will be staying at Gordon's Hotel at the base of Cheddar Gorge and the studio is based in Cox's Mill, a short walk within the centre of the gorge with stunning views across a lake and up the gorge.
You will learn to paint from photographs and reference material wildlife
animals, your pet or any other animal portrait.

The holiday takes place at Compton House which is a glorious grade 2 listed, Georgian Hotel complete with function room, drawing room, conservatory and a beautiful garden with lovely views across the Somerset levels. You will be able to paint in the fantastic Cheddar Gorge and on top of the Mendip Hills with views over the Somerset levels to Glastonbury, Exmoor, the Bristol Channel and across to the Welsh Mountains, as well as quaint Somerset villages.
