Learn to paint mood and atmosphere in watercolours with Sue Ford who loves to capture landscapes quickly emphasising how light plays on subjects. All abilities welcome. Much of our time will be spent on location in the Gorge or elsewhere in the Mendips.

Sue is fascinated by how strong light conditions play on subjects. The counter change of light in the Gorge is the ideal setting to demonstrate this, as is the atmospheric views that are gained when looking from the Mendip Hills and onto the Somerset levels.

Sue will demonstrate the use of watercolours, pen and wash and water soluble pens, providing expert guidance and personal tuition, explaining the importance of composition and getting the most from your sketch book, she will give you lots of encouragement. Feel free to bring all or some of these or if you prefer just bring watercolour paints and you will have an enjoyable and informative time in this medium.
