Paint in the stunning Cheddar Gorge and beautiful Mendip Hills with Steve Hall, who knows the area well, where you will learn how to paint watercolour landscapes. Much of our time will be spent on location in the Gorge or elsewhere in the Mendips.
Steve Hall who is local to Somerset and has painted pictures of the Mendips and Cheddar Gorge in particular, will teach you how to paint local landscapes including Cheddar Gorge and other spots with fantastic views in the Mendip Hills. He is fascinated with light conditions and producing striking pictures that emphasise the dark against light principal that brings out the best in watercolour.

Steve will do a demonstration on Sunday evening when you arrive and will do two demonstrations a day illustrating this principal and his friendly and approachable style will enable you to get the best out of a location and your paints. He will get alongside you and spend much time assisting you in achieving your goals in a painting especially in relation to tonal contrasts.
